Well, we do have some promising news, River has become friendly with one human and one dog! For some reason, she loves these two, and they are having the best luck with her, she has been able to share some great pictures, has been able to actually hand feed her and get her to follow them around.
The rest of us are taking a big step back and watching from far away, its been absolutely amazing! As long as this continues who knows maybe she will jump right in her car one day, BUT its important we get the word out not to try this yourself, unless you have the right dog. Also for those of you out there, and you see this happening, feel free to watch from a distance, and help her out by letting others know whats going on, sometimes a off leash dog or something else will scare her off, any moment lost, makes it a longer wait!
Thank you for continuing to ask about her!

In addition to Danielle and her dog, a second lady--Diane--and her dog, who frequent Mehl Park in the morning hand fed River this morning. She was back at 5 p.m. on the north shore of the wash between the park and the metal bridge feeding River again. Later, I saw River again without the woman. I saw a dog run across to play and she became fearful and cried out. Yesterday, there was a coyote a few feet from the trap in the evening.

this is good news. Maybe River has found her new pack and has decided that humans and dogs on leashes aren't quite so bad.
